About this Event
This webinar will focus on helping youth workers to be able to ‘put their oxygen masks on’ first before helping others.
During times these times of uncertainty with high stress and anxiety levels for those young people we support but also for those working in this field it is imperative that people are taking a proactive approach towards looking after their mental health and mental fitness. From research it has been identified that people who have better mental health knowledge and literacy are not only more confident in looking after themselves but are also more confident in supporting others.
To support people, it is important that we are thinking about our attitude towards uncertainty and how people can respond stronger to adversity. We will be delivering a session with Adam Morris who is a cognitive behavioural therapist. Adam works with individuals who experience common mental health problems and has a passion for understanding how we connect people to mental health and psychology. Within the session we will focus on the theme of responding stronger to adversity. The session will focus on 5 key foundations which are important for people to build positive mental health habits. It will include practical and applied interventions that individuals can utilise with themselves and others.
