Posted: 5 January, 2017

At Barnardo’s, we believe in children. Our purpose is to transform the lives of the UK’s most vulnerable children and our vision is to realise Thomas Barnardo’s dream of a world where no child is turned away from the help that they need. Our Positive Identities Commissioned LGBTQ Services offer sexual orientation and gender identity expertise through training, consultancy and direct interventions. This pioneering initiative supports schools, organisations and wider communities to provide safe spaces for LGBTQ staff, volunteers, young people and their families.

Job Description

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic professional to continue to develop and deliver a range of bespoke LGBTQ training packages to meet the specific needs of schools and other organisations. It’s your opportunity to play a central role in the success of our commissioned services as you help to shape environments where homophobic, biphobic and transphobic bullying has no place. You’ll also support commissioning organisations to carry out effective interventions and drive forward innovative new ideas that improve outcomes for LGBTQ children, young people and families.
