Action for Children - Become a Foster Carer

Action for Children needs foster carers who can help children and young people transform their lives.

If you can offer a safe, caring home to vulnerable and challenging young people aged 10-18, we can offer you excellent training and 24-hour support.

You'll never be on your own, as we're always just a phone call away, and you'll also get generous fees and allowances (up to £600 per week) as well as regular planned breaks.

We need people from a wide range of backgrounds.  So if you have a spare room and experience of caring for or working with troubled young people, we want to hear from you.

The Government scheme is awarding over £31 million in total to projects that put young people in the lead on choosing the activities on offer and the design and running of the centres.

myplace is a £270 million programme funded by the Department for Children, Schools and Familities (DCSF) and delivered by the Big Fund, the non Lottery funding operation of the Big Lottery Fund.
