Hours: 21 per week (£25,472 - £29,236 pro rata)
The not-for-profit Pay & Employment Rights Service (PERS) provides telephone advice, guidance and training on employment rights and homeworking.
We are looking for an appropriately experienced and qualified individual to help develop PERS' strategic direction, long-term sustainability and organisation growth. You will join a friendly and busy team based in our offices in Batley. Terms and conditions of employment include:
Employer's pension contribution (5.5% of salary)
Annual holiday 8.2 weeks including bank/public holidays
PERS supports flexible working.

Consultation Re: Youth Provision in Park Ward, Calderdale
Calderdale Young People's Service invites tenders to undertake a consultation exercise regarding youth provision and positive activities for young people in Park Ward from April 2011. The purpose is to review the provision for 13-19 year olds in the ward by seeking the views of young people, parents, service providers and other stakeholders.

The Cardigan Centre and Oblong - Volunteer Development Worker
Salary: £24,402 (pro rata for 27 hours)
The Cardigan Centre and Oblong in North West Leeds are working together to deliver an exciting youth volunteering project, called Vision. It is funded by vinvolved. We are looking for a dynamic development worker to work in partnership with the worker based at the Cardigan Centre (Youth Point) to develop and deliver this innovative project. Although employed by the Cardigan Centre the successful candidate will be based at Oblong and will work as part of the Oblong collective operating within its staffing and supervision structures.
You will be supporting volunteers and co-ordinating design, video, gardening and music projects. Technical expertise in these areas is not necessary - the role is concerned with enabling volunteers to make the projects happen. The successful candidate will be required to have a flexible and creative approach to work, as you facilitate ways for young people to become forces for positive change in their communities.
Essential: Experience of voluntary work with young people (up to 25)

Rural Action Yorkshire - Rural Capacity Building Officer
Part time fixed term post
£21,519 (point 25) pro rata to hours worked. Pay award pending + casual user car allowance
Hours: 22 per week, Monday to Friday over 3 days, with some evening and weekend work
We seek a capacity building worker to support the delivery of the RDPE LEADER programme in Ryedale and Scarborough in North Yorkshire.
Duties include capacity building support and training to community groups and funded projects especially in relation to ability to access funding, managing funded activity, financial profiling and record keeping. You will also provide support, training and capacity building to the Local Action Group which is responsible for programme delivery, marketing the programme and raising awareness. The initial focus of the work will be directed at communities who have not had access to LEADER funding in the past, in particular, the areas of Howdenshire/Marshlands/Snaith and Ryedale/Scarborough.
Excellent training, project management and financial skills are required, as is an understanding and appreciation of the wider context of rural regeneration and development in North Yorkshire.
Ideally, you should have a minimum of two A Levels grade C or above, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent, appropriate experience in the voluntary/community sector developing project activity, an education training qualification or equivalent experience.
The post is fixed term until 30 September 2012 and is externally funded with part financing by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development and Defra and supported by Yorkshire Forward.
