Are you aged 18-24 and passionate about shaping the future of South Yorkshire? Do you have innovative ideas on how to promote our region and drive positive change? Here’s your chance to make a difference!

We are excited to announce an essay writing competition, offering three tickets to the UK Real Estate, Investment and Infrastructure Forum (UKREiiF), held at the Royal Armouries in Leeds from May 21st to May 23rd. This competition is open to anyone aged 18-24 who wants to contribute their thoughts and ideas on building a brighter future for South Yorkshire.

UKREiiF is a platform to connect individuals, communities, and businesses, driving sustainable and inclusive investment in our region. With South Yorkshire Mayoral Combined Authority officers and Local Authority stakeholders working collaboratively, we aim to showcase the potential and opportunities that our region holds.

To participate, all you need to do is submit an essay of up to 1000 words on the topic: “What does a bright future for South Yorkshire look like, and how will you promote our region at UKREiiF?” Your essay could explore various aspects, such as:

  • Strategies for leveraging social media to amplify our messages at UKREiiF.
  • The significance of UKREiiF for the development of South Yorkshire.
  • Your vision for positive changes in South Yorkshire by 2040 and the role of UKREiiF in driving regional transformation.

Entries must be submitted via email to matt.dutchak@southyorkshire-CA.gov.uk by 5pm on Tuesday 30th April. Please include your full name, postcode, and date of birth in your submission.

Winners will be announced by Friday 10th May, and will receive a ticket to attend UKREiiF on Tuesday 21st May, at the Royal Armouries in Leeds.
